WE NEED YOU
After many months of writing, research and preparation, we are now taking our first real steps towards production.
Making a film is a wonderful experience, but also an expensive one. We are investing as much as we can ourselves, but bringing Burning Lights to life requires more than we can achieve alone.
Every contribution goes directly towards the production of the film, helping us fairly compensate our actors, secure locations, cover logistical costs, and provide the equipment and resources needed to create Burning Lights as we envision it.
With your support, you are helping a team of young filmmakers bring this unique world to the big screen. Every contribution, big or small, brings us one step closer.
Would you like to support us in another way? Feel free to reach out.
Thank you for helping us make Burning Lights possible.

THE STORY
ENRIQUE (59) has spent decades at sea, where discipline, physical labour and routine have become inseparable from his identity. As boatswain, he has long stood between the officers and the crew, translating decisions from the bridge into the daily work on deck.
Now, on an ageing bulk carrier crossing the ocean, he has been declared physically unfit for duty.
Trapped aboard, Enrique gradually fades from the crew's daily life as extreme heat, sleepless nights, technical malfunctions and metallic reverberations begin to reshape the world around him. Meanwhile, the crew continues the physically demanding work of cleaning the cargo holds and finds moments of joy, humour and connection that help them endure life aboard.
As his isolation grows, Enrique becomes increasingly drawn to the disturbances affecting the ship and its crew, sensing that they may somehow be connected to him.
